The Cisco PIX 525 Firewall offers enterprise-class security for medium-to-large enterprise networks in a reliable, purpose-built security appliance. Its modular two-rack unit (2RU) design supports up to eight 10/100 Fast Ethernet interfaces or three Gigabit Ethernet interfaces, making it an ideal choice for businesses requiring a resilient, high performance, Gigabit Ethernet-ready solution.

Enterprise networks benefit from the Cisco PIX 525's additional layer of security via intelligent, application-aware security services that examine packet streams at Layers 4-7. Administrators can also easily create custom security policies for firewall traffic by using the flexible access control methods and the more than 100 predefined applications, services, and protocols that Cisco PIX Security Appliances provide.
