The Allied Telesyn 9700 multiservice access switch is a carrier-grade, mid density, multi-service Gigabit Ethernet platform enabling service providers to offer advanced, simultaneous broadband services, including high quality IP voice, tiered IP/Ethernet data services, and broadcast quality IP video.
Telesyn Carrier Class Ethernet enables advanced service providers to move away from complex circuit technologies such as ATM and Frame Relay with Telesyn's One Network, No Translations™ solution.
The Telesyn 9700 platform is hardened for outside plant environments and scales from 10 to 170 ports for FTTH services, and 24 to 408 ports for xDSL services, or any combination of xDSL and fibre interfaces.
The highly flexible Telesyn 9700 also supports Metro Ethernet Networks (MEN) via Transparent LAN services (TLS). Transparent LAN services are implmented via configurable double VLAN tagging, making scaling existing MENs easy by allowing the Telesyn 9700 to interoperate with legacy Ethernet switches.
For business services such as E-Line, the Telesyn 9700 supports extensive subscriber filtering features such as IP Filtering, DHCP Relay and metering based on Layer 4 IP flows.
