Brocade Extended Fabrics

An optional feature designed for use with SilkWorm fabric switches, Brocade Extended Fabrics leverages the increased accessibility of dark fiber and DWDM equipment in major metropolitan areas. Distances of up to 120 km are possible with 1 Gbit/sec switches and 60 km with 2 Gbit/sec switches.

• Provides switched fabric connectivity over longer distances - up to 120 km
• Extends all of the scalability, reliability, and performance benefits of Fibre Channel Storage Area Networks (SANs) beyond traditional distance limitations
