The Digi PortServer TS 16 is a 16 port terminal server offering simple, cost-effective, EIA-232/422/485 serial-to-ethernet connectivity for multiple serial devices, ideal for data center console port management applications, property management, point-of-sale, data aquisition, industrial automation, power utilities, travel reservations etc.

Digi's patented RealPort technology delivers robust, reliable and versatile COM port control and management, creating a local COM or TTY port on the host computer for the networked serial device to support standard software applications.

Incoming/outgoing Rlogin and Telnet sessions on each port give equipment and system administrators a high level of control over networked serial devices.

The Digi PortServer TS 16 also features Secure Shell (SSH v2) encryption to protect against unauthorized network monitoring and port buffering, allowing network administrators to easily capture vital information for troubleshooting.
