The Digi PortServer TS 8 is an 8 port terminal server offering simple, cost-effective, EIA-232/422/485 serial-to-ethernet connectivity for multiple serial devices, ideal for data center console port management applications, property management, point-of-sale, data aquisition, industrial automation, power utilities, travel reservations etc.

Digi's patented RealPort technology delivers robust, reliable and versatile COM port control and management, creating a local COM or TTY port on the host computer for the networked serial device to support standard software applications.

Incoming/outgoing Rlogin and Telnet sessions on each port give equipment and system administrators a high level of control over networked serial devices.

The Digi PortServer TS 8 also features Secure Shell (SSH v2) encryption to protect against unauthorized network monitoring and port buffering, allowing network administrators to easily capture vital information for troubleshooting.
