EMC Celerra HighRoad

EMC Celerra HighRoad software significantly enhances file sharing capabilities and performance to support high-bandwidth, collaborative applications such as streaming media and Web hosting. HighRoad is a multiplex file system (MPFS) software utility incorporated into the Celerra DART (Data Access in Real Time) file server.

EMC Celerra HighRoad enables seamless integration of NAS and SAN into one unified storage network, dynamically chosen LAN or SAN routes-for optimum performance and economies of scale through direct channel access to a single data image.

• Clients issue NFS or CIFS file requests to Celerra File Server via standard Ethernet
• Celerra returns small meta data file indicating location of target data in Symmetrix system
