Foundry Networks BigIron RX8 switches redefine terabit-capacity for routing and switching in Enterprise and Service Provider environments.

The BigIron RX8's design allows for full width 120 Gbps raw bandwidth, 96 Gbps available data bandwidth modules or two half width modules with 48 Gbps data performance each in any slot. The RX-Series also offers a complete and robust set of standards-based IPv4 and IPv6 routing protocols such as BGP, ISIS, OSPF and RIP.

The Foundry BigIron RX8 is purpose built for high speed networks, providing wire-speed, non-blocking performance of up to 2.85 billion packets per second per 7-foot telco rack in a 4 slot interface system.
