The Hitachi Lightning 9960, part of the Hitachi Freedom Storage Lightning 9900 series, allows you to form centralised storage pools, simplifying management and cutting costs by replacing up to three existing storage systems.

The Hitachi 9960 allows almost unlimited storage expansion for the largest enterprise applications and large scale data storage consolidation.

• 5 to 512 disk drives (including spares)
• Maximum 16 hot spares
• Up to 37.3TB raw capacity per subsystem
• Up to 27.5TB usable disk capacity RAID-5
• Up to 18.4TB usable disk capacity RAID-1+
• 2GB to 32GB data cache; 2GB increments
