The IBM FAStT600 Storage Server is a mid-level storage server that can scale to over eight terabytes of fibre channel disk, or over sixteen terabytes of fibre channel disk with the Turbo feature.

- FAStT600 and FAStT600 with Turbo feature can scale up to 28 terabytes of Serial ATA disk storage by attaching 8 EXP100's
- Increased cache from 512MB on base FAStT600 to 2GB on Turbo
- Autonomic functions such as Dynamic Volume Expansion and Dynamic Capacity Addition, allowing unused storage to be brought on-line without stopping operations
- Host interface on base FAStT600 is 2Gb, Turbo auto senses to connect to 1Gb or 2Gb
- Support for UNIX platforms (AIX, Sun, HP), Windows and Linux environments
- Up to 64 storage partitions with Turbo
- FAStT Storage Manager v8.4 enables up to 256 logical volumes (LUNs) per storage partition, array groups greater than 2TB, and SCSI-3 Persisitent Reservation
