IBM System Storage EXP3000 is a high density 2U, 19" rack-mountable drive closure designed for supporting a total of 12 3.5" disk drives.

IBM EXP3000 can be used as a direct attach solution for IBM System x servers with support of MegaRAID or ServeRAID host bus adapters.

• 3 Gbps SAS interface technology
• Support for up to 3.6 TB of SAS disk capacity
• Support for up to 9 TB of SATA disk capacity in a single enclosure when using a MegaRAID or ServeRAID host bus adapter
• Three EXP3000s can be attached to a DS3000 to expand up to 14.4 TB of physical storage capacity
• Powerful and comprehensive management and configuration tools
