IBM Virtualisation Engine TS7520 combines hardware and software into an integrated solution designed to provide tape virtualisation for open systems servers connecting over Fibre Channel and iSCSI physical connections.

When combined with physical tape resources for longer term data storage, the TS7520 Virtualisation Engine is designed to provide an increased level of operational simplicity, support a low cost of ownership, and increase reliability.

• Up to 1.76 PB capacity with 2:1 Compression
• 128 virtual libraries per server; 512 virtual libraries per system
• 1,024 virtual drives per server; 4,096 per system
• 64,000 virtual cartridges per server; up to 256,000 per system
• Performance: Up to 4,760 MB/sec read, and up to 4,400 MB/sec write
