The nCipher nShield F3 Hardware Security Module (HSM) is a hardware-based secure key management platform for enhancing the performance and security of applications that use cryptography including PKI, database encryption, secure authentication and Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) communications.

The nShield F3 has been validated to the Federal Information Processing Standard (FIPS) 140 Level 3, a widely accepted security benchmark for cryptographic devices.
