SGI Origin 200 Server

The Origin 200 ccNUMA architecture adds additional bandwidth and slot capacity by adding a second tower, but like typical SMP configurations the Origin 200 uses a simple shared-memory programming model provided by the NUMAlink Interconnect.

The SGI Origin 200 is the entry-level ccNUMA server from SGI, designed for media distribution, interoperable file serving, multitiered database management, performance-intensive computing, and Internet applications.

• 1 to 4 MIPS R12000 64-Bit 270MHz/360 MHZ CPUs, NUMA architecture
• 256MB ECC RAM base memory, upgradeable to 2GB per tower, with 720MB/sec peak memory bandwidth
• 40MB/sec Ultra SCSI, 100MB/sec Fibre Channel mass memory channels, 267GB/sec peak I/O bandwidth
• Supports up to 1.5TB Ultra SCSI storage (dual tower), 11.9TB Fibre Channel (dual tower), 46.9TB Fibre Channel RAID (dual tower)
• 6 x 3.5" hot plug bays and 2 x 5.25" removable bays per tower
• 3 PCI slots per tower
