Our Packaged Services

  • Solaris Installation Service
    To initialise and complete a clean Solaris installation on a new Sun Desktop or Enterprise Server built to customer specification.
  • Solaris Upgrade Service
    To undertake a scoping exercise and subsequent upgrade project of Sun Desktop workstations and Enterprise servers. The scoping exercise will determine that the target system is capable of successful upgrade with regards to hardware compatibility, disk space, middleware and application software downtime requirements.
  • Backup Implementation Service
    To design and implement a backup solution based on Legato Networker (Solstice Backup) or Veritas (Solstice) Enterprise NetBackup products. This will consist of a scoping/planning day with customer to discuss viability of requirements and to determine backup needs.
  • Application Deployment Service
    To provide pre-Configured Customer Ready systems, pre-built at our hot-staging facility. To include specified version of Operating System, middleware applications and customer application software.
  • Firewall Implementation Service
    To design and implement a firewall solution based on Checkpoint/Solstice Firewall and Solstice SunScreen products. This will consist of a scoping/planning day with customer to discuss viability of requirements and to determine security needs.
  • Jumpstart Implementation Service
    To design and implement a Jumpstart service to allow customers to automatically mass-build Solaris systems over the network. This will consist of a scoping exercise to determine the system architecture types and numbers that need to be built, and to identify any post build custom configuration that will need to be performed.
  • System Health Check Service
    To perform a system health-check with regards to configuration and optimisation of SolarisVolume Management, Hardware configuration, Kernel and sizing parameters, Disk and file-system layout, Network I/O, Virtual Memory, Naming services and Backup procedures.
  • System Security Audit
    To perform a security audit of system with regards to internal and external network access, user accounts and access controlsThe exercise will consist of running a variety of checks and 3rd party products to test system security, identify potential security weaknesses, pin-point deviations from the customer's security policies and check that critical files have not been compromised.
  • Storage Management Implementation Service
    To design and implement, or upgrade, a Storage Management solution based on Veritas Volume Manager and Solstice Disksuite products. This will consist of a scoping/planning day with customer to discuss viability of requirements and to determine performance-versus-resilience needs.
