Unix Support Services

b2net consultants provide both on-site and remote system administration support covering all Sun and Solaris based products and technologies, and work with customers across all market sectors.

Our consultants are available from one day upwards anywhere in the UK and abroad to supply on site and remote support services. As a Sun Microsystems consulting partner we focus mainly on Sun solutions but also have extensive experience in other environments.

Formally recognised as committed to the Investors in People programme, we are currently working to achieve ISO9002 accreditation.

On Site Support Service

  • Service-based, not body-based using Consultancy Virtual Team.
  • Provide continuity of service and site knowledge.
  • Provision of replacement service during holiday and sickness cover.
  • From one day upwards, can provide emergency cover during staff absence, e.g. holiday, sickness, training attendance.
  • Includes set-up of support web pages for documenting activity and continuity between consultants and customer personnel.
  • Flexible services available from one day a month, to 24 hours x 7 days a week.

Remote Support Service

  • Helpdesk during normal office hours (09:00-17:00, Mon-Fri).
  • Helpdesk during the week, but outside of office hours (17:01-08:59 Mon-Fri).
  • Help desk at weekends (00:00-23:59, Sat and Sun).

The level of service provided in each of the above is essentially the same, only the hours covered alters. It enables your named contacts (or, by arrangement, your end customer contact) to contact our consultants at the times specified above for telephone support.

Telephone support in this instance will apply to the latest commercially available release of products for Solaris and comprise one or more of the following:

  • Verbal technical advice and guidance.
  • Where required, and only with agreement from the customer, remote access the machine (depending upon the nature of the problem) via a modem link to perform remote diagnosis.
  • Where required, the arrangement of a site visit by one of our consultants.
