The StorageTek TimberWolf 9740 Tape Library offers high performance and high capacity storage for large multi-platform environments. The TimberWolf 9740 stores up to 41 TB of data (compressed) and up to six 9740 libraries can be used together.

• 1 to 6 LSMs
• 9840, T9940, 3480, 3490E, DLTtape IV orSD-3 helical media
• 350 exchanges per hour (mount and dismount of a single cartridge)
• SCSI-2 or serial robotics control
• Standard, camera-based vision system for bar code reading
• User-friendly configuration and diagnostic controls, status display and viewing window
