Designed for data centre environments, the StorEdge L6000 is a perfect complement to Sun Fire 15K, Sun Enterprise 10000 and StorEdge 9900 series systems.

The Sun StorEdge L6000 Tape Library is a tape storage solution with proven reliability, high performance, and scalability to 2.8 petabytes. The L6000 is offered with 2000, 3000, 4000, 5000, and 6000 slot sizes per silo and up to 24 silos can be connected for a maximum capacity of 144,000 cartridges.

• Up to 120 TB of data per silo and up to 24 silos can be mated together
• 80 drives back up at up to 19 MB/s native or 1.4 GB/s native with 9840B drive technology
• 9840 drives provide fast access to data in as little as 12 seconds
